A.S.V.A.B.  (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is a must for students planning to join the military. The results of the ASVAB can be used as qualifying scores for entrance into the military services if the scores are no more than two years old.  (The scores of a student in grade 10 may not be used for enlistment purposes.)  The test includes sections on mathematics, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, mechanical comprehension, electronics, etc.  It is offered only once at our school during the month of November but students can take it through the military at various times during the year.  The ASVAB dates for this school year are 9/28/10 and 3/29/11.
