On Saturday, October 16 VHS hosted the Parent Information Event. Topics included advanced course at VHS, High School Graduation and College Entrance Requirements, Career Pathways through ROP, CTE, and Career Planning, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and more.

Teacher Issues:
            Specific student grades or assignments
            Concerns regarding student success in a particular class
            Questions regarding classroom policies, curriculum, teaching methods
            Periods of attendance for a particular class

Counselor Issues:
            Student performance in general (study skills and student support)
            Communication methods
            Student academic and personal support
            Alternative Educational opportunities for students
            Teacher change policy information
            New student registration (counseling secretary)

Dean of Learning Support Issues:
            Truancy and/or Tardy problems
            Merit/Demerit system

Administrator Issues:
            Teacher complaints
            Teacher change (after counseling has provided the information regarding             the VHS policy)
            Threats to students, theft reports, disciplinary issues

Registrar Issues:
            Student withdrawal
            GPA verification
            Enrollment verification for insurance and social security
            Order official transcripts
