ABOUT US…
The Buckingham Independent Film Festival is part of
the Buckingham Young Image Makers Foundation, which is a non—profit
organization that supports the visionary efforts of the Buckingham
Charter Magnet High School. This is a High School that promotes
College Preparatory learning, Visual/Media Arts and Information
Technology. It is the foundations mission to raise funds for the
Visual/Media Arts programs by soliciting public and private support
through educational grants, donations and other available resources;
to provide opportunities for students to showcase their work; to
maintain a state-of-the art facility so that students will receive
practical experience applicable to current careers and learning
platforms in the Visual/Media Arts industry; and to promote community
awareness of and involvement in Visual/Media Arts programs. All the
proceeds from the festival go directly to the school in order fulfill
these objectives.

The Young Image Makers Foundation is a nonprofit
public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any
person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation
for charitable purposes. The specific purposes for which this corporation is
organized are to provide educational resources for students in various
subject areas including, but not limited to: film production, mass media,
and digital arts. |
