About The Foundation

The Buckingham Young Image Makers Foundation is dedicated to supporting the Visual/Media Arts and Information Technology elective strands of Buckingham Charter Magnet High High School. It is our goal to provide funding for these programs so that Buckingham students will benefit from state-of-the-art equipment and become a competitive force in their chosen career pathway.

Students who attend Buckingham Charter Magnet High School will have the opportunity to participate in any of these educational strands.

Buckingham Charter Magnet High School's Visual/Media Arts elective program presents unique learning opportunities. Students who have an interest in Film, TV., Radio Broadcasting, or Theatre Arts, will be able to concentrate on any of these career pathways with highly trained professional teachers. Students will enjoy a "hands-on" experience with state-of-the-art equipment. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to operate professional cameras while writing and producing their own films. They will learn how to operate and participate in sound engineering, television, or learn to perform on stage and in front of the camera! Each year the film students have the opportunity to submit their films to the Buckingham Young Image Makers Film Festival which is held at the Brenden Theatre in Vacaville.

Do you want to learn about networking computers, web design, and other related computer skills? Buckingham offers you the chance to become a Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA).

Students also have the opportunity to obtain an A+ certification with Buckingham Charter Magnet High School! Those who earn the A+ Certification (CompTIA) will win the respect of other IT professionals and can expect an easier time of breaking into the IT industry! Additionally, courses, such as: Word Processing, MOUS Certification, LINUX OS, Web Design, C Programming (AP coursework), Photoshop, industry-standard network administration certification, and Computer Assistant will be offered.
